I'm having all kinds of problems....My computer is shutting down my internet
and I have adware on my Norton, but it doesn't get rid of it......I don't know
how I got it....I run AdAware, and delete all it comes up with. I run Spybot, and delete anything there. I run Norton, and it comes up with adware that it
doesn't get rid of. I run AVG and it comes up with adware and says it gets
rid of it. I have Norton 2004 and the free AVG. A notice comes up once in a
while that says it found a trace of Trogun here:
C:\System Volume Information\_restore {A52B933-0388-4BCA-9C88-7ECB161F3534}\RP148\A0031875.Exe
It says to get rid of it to run AVG...I do and it doesn't show up anything but more adware.
I can't find that anywhere. I have looked and tried to search for it.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

You have to disable System Restore before you do the scan and repair because it has copies of all the stuff you are trying to get rid of,that is what your scans are finding, and if you do a restore you will just restore anything you have already gotten rid of.Keep in mind that disabling System restore will delete all of your restore points but if they are full of nasties you don't want them anyway.

As soon as you get your system clean and running the way it should, restart System restore and create a new restore point so the next time you run into trouble you will have a clean point to restore to.
