Hi, I'm running a WinXP machine. Its a P3 800Mhz with 128MB RAM. My colleagues are all running PCs with the same specs. But my PC is so, so, so MUCH SLOWER than theirs. Be it surfing the Net, opening programs, exploring windows, you name it. It all takes ages.
And lately, my PC hangs whenever it wishes to. Other times, the taskbar just disappeared! (its not on "Auto-Hide", please!). I need to reboot just to see the taskbar again. I have run AV but no viruses were detected. Please. I'm going mad. Please help me.

hi tzar

You could do with another 128mb of ram in your pc to make it run a bit better.

check your virtual memory
>start
>control panel
>system
>Advanced, under performance select Settings
>Advanced
>Change
Set both initial and max size to 256, then click SET & ok
Reboot PC

This should help
