I have an annoying problem that involves the System Configuration Utility message coming up everytime I start up my computer. I have checked Msconfig and my startup programs are all checked and it says that it is in Normal Startup.

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank You.

there is a box toward the bottom of that message that comes up that says something like "click here to not launch the system config utility on startup" just check that and you will be fine untill you enter msconfig again.

I did the workaround as you suggested and it said that the registry entry had been removed. I then booted up 4 times and received the system configuration utility each time (I checked the box each time it loaded too).

I know this is pretty much trivial compared to other things you guys help out with so I am very appreciative of any help.

Run my workaround again.

Then from Explorer, browse to C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
Find MSCONFIG.exe and double click on it to run.
Then, exit without making changes.

Reboot.

If the screen didn't appear than it would appear to be a corrupt MSCONFIG. If it still appears, we are no further ahead.
