I have a laptop running Windows XP. At work, (a small business) we have a cable connection (Time Warner) that is shared via a router (I think) among five uesrs.
I often bring my laptop home, and work on my Verizon Wireless DSL connection. But when I go back to work, and log into the server, I can't get back on the internet. (And sometime it is vice versa)
The strange thing is that the connection seems to be OK. I look under Network Connections, and it is up and running at 100mps. But, none of my programs seem to recognize that the connection is there.
Even stranger, if I do nothing, and leave it a couple of hours, it seems to spontaneously connect itself - my AOL IM and Explorer will suddenly start working.
Why does this happen and how can I fix the problem?
