Been playing this game for about a yr with NO issues and I do mean NO issues. Out of nowhere all of a sudden I experience major lag while playing in any server. I have NEVER had this issues. I have had some issues with this computer as you can see over here; http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/530822-random-freezes.html

I ran most of the spyware proggies that were suggested. The ONLY other thing that I did was lower the graphic settings in my BF-2 game. By the way there is NO lag when I am playing bf-2.

Did a speed test at speakeasy and I have a 9587 KBPS on a DL and 355 on an UP. These numbers have been consistent for about 4-5 months so I highly doubt that it's a speed issue.

ANY ideas on what I might want to try to take a look at ?

Did you ever run hard drive diagnostic programs that the other thread suggested? I would do that, along with a defrag.

Yes I have run HD Diag, Defragged reinstalled game still no good.

might want to reinstall windows! clear up alot of RAM ang generaly speeds your computer up.

I'm not sure if it will help or not, but you may or may not want to0 try flushing your cache, is you have not done this bvefore, it may take about 5-10 mins (In which your screen will freeze). Enter swat 4 TSS, and type `flush and press enter. The screen will then freeze as the game destroys the ex- FPS from the game and 'flushes' them away, freeing up space. It may/may not work, it did for me though. Let me know how it turned out.

It seems fine now after a reformat and just waiting it out. Haven't played swat for awhile now lol.....
