Swap to same model PCB board remove the encryption?

I have 2 units of WD My Passport Ultra (Backup) with the same PCB model.
https://support-en.wd.com/app/products/product-detail/p/1377
I have encrypted both of them with WD software (HARDWARE ENCRYPTION) and they work ok but I have question:
If someone (donate) have the same PCB model from none encrypted drive
and he replace it with my (Patient) PCB encrypted drive,
will it remove the hardware encryption and he get access to my files and data?
or that the encryption is set on the magnetic plate and not on the PCB?

I think that is something you'll have to ask WD tech support about.

Hello :)
WD Stoped the support for this hard disk because it's an old model.
in the product page:
Support for these products has ended and is no longer available per WD Product Software Support Status.
For assistance Ask the WD Community or reference the online Knowledge Base.
No you misunderstood what I meant. You need to ask WD about the encryption aspect of your PCB question.
No...you asked in the WD community.....same as a forum. You have to contact WD Tech support either with a support ticket or more preferably a live person on the phone.
