Hi. I've been having some issues with the Windows Operating System task, Svchost.exe. In most cases, I'll regularly start up my computer, and my computer will tend to run very slow. I'll then pull up the Task Manager, and cancel out of the one that is causing my computer to slow down. Svchost.exe will usually take up 30+ CPU, and sometimes above 50,000K Mem Usage. Even as I type this thread, the program will still continue to run high. What I'm wondering is, would there be any way to reduce this from causing my computer to slow down, or completely make it stop? I'm using an eMachine computer, along with the Windows XP platform. Any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
