Hi guys and gals, I'm hoping that there is someone out there that can help me, as this thing is driving me nuts! Also, if this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move it!
Brought a Sumvision SV04-M18 MP3 1GB player for christmas. We have managed to load the software onto the PC from the CD provided, no problems there. Connected it up via USB and had a look into it via the computer, seems potentially to have already been used by someone before, as there were blank folders in there of people like Alanis Morrissette, which I'm assuming wouldn't automatically be on there from the manufacturer.
First potential issue. The only way we seem to be able to turn the MP3 player on is through connecting it to the computer. Manual attempts are fruitless. This should be done by pressing the play/pause button.
I've used audiograbber to convert the cd's into MP3's, and transferred them onto the player, into their own folder. When viewing through the computer, the folders are there, the songs are there and can be played. However, once disconnected, with a bit of luck the songs appear to be visible, but refuse to play. In fact, even the couple of songs that were already on there won't play.
By this I mean that no matter how many times you press play, it just does nothing. Eventually, after a couple of minutes it just turns itself off. Now, the instruction manual is absolutely rubbish, so no help there whatsoever, but before I throw this at the wall, has anyone got any suggestions, or perhaps agree with my thoughts that the play button must be broken or something?
I wish I'd just brought an Ipod!!
Many thanks in advance for all of your help!
