Hello,
I believe that this website should have a forum that is dedicated to spamming, and the stuff that people sell on ebay. I believe that it will for one, get the sellers' item out to more eyes. Since the auction is through ebay, the techguy forums could make a "no-liability" rule, and a "no offers on the sellers' item(s) through the techguy forums" rule. Some people want there spam to be seen. If we had a spam forum, it's not like people would complain about spamming, because if you dont want to see the spam, don't visit the spam forum!
Just an idea, correct me if it sounds obnoxiously stupid :p
Thanks,
-X

That'd be defeating one of TSG's rules:

Category II Offenses

Advertising and Spamming

Spamming/Advertising - You cannot post advertisements of any sort in any forum. This includes products, services, or web sites from which you'd directly or indirectly benefit in any way.

For the record, I'm not completely against this. I don't think such a forum would use many resources and might be useful to some users. My main concern would be to make sure that we're not held responsible (legally or in anyone's mind) for the reliability of anything listed. I think it's worth discussing further, though.

I'm always looking for spare computer parts :D Just cleaned my closet, time to restock :D

I'd still like to see a forum where we can give crap away for the asking. I've sent things to and received things from many members here.

I dont believe ebay has a forum. I could be wrong though, I've just never saw it. I just think for the people that have old stuff that they want to sell, it would be a good idea.
Here's how another forum that I sometimes visit handles stuff like this:

There's a big difference between posting links of stuff that you're selling on eBay, and actually selling the item...a lot more attention has to be given by moderators and admins to make sure that stuff being sold is legal, and to try as hard as they can to make sure there aren't any scammers that sell their stuff and never ship the item out....anyway, either forum sounds good to me.

Is there a way it could be done as an experiment....that is with the understanding that its fallout (if any) not bleed to the other forum parts? Is there a way to keep it partially partitioned from the other forums so that the spamming or trading doesn't flood onto the other boards?
