For some reason, when I start up IE and start browsing, it's fine, but at some random time it all of a sudden closes everything that is related to IE, including anything I was downloading. Can anybody tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

Give us the exact symptoms. Also, what is the version of IE you're running?

There are no symptoms whatsoever. You'd only know this is happening when it happens.
As for the version of IE, it is (copied directly from the "About Internet Explorer" page in the Help toolbar) 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158 (sorry if that's a bit too much, I didn't know how much info you needed.
Do you think maybe this is related to the reason why my IE won't let me into certain sites?
