I have a small office network- about 24 computers, all running windows 2000. I put in a new computer and I am getting spontaneous appearance of the menu that would appear if I were to click the right mouse button, though no button has been touched. I replaced the mouse, replaced the keyboard, deleted the mouse and installed a new downloaded driver.
This happens in any application, though mostly we run an electronic medical records program. I don't have this problem on any other computer in the office. Any suggestions apreciated.

You could have a corrupted install. If the computer is new and no user has been assigned to it yet, just format it and reinstall Windows 2000. It may seem like a lot, but compared to the time it's going to take to research this problem, it's not.

If that doesn't work, call the vendor you bought it from and request a replacement.

actually it is a self assembled computer, which I built at home. Ran it for a week on my home network without problem. Only change in the system as it runs in my office is that I have a domain in my office. Though doing a format and new install again isn't the worst thing I can think of, it does take a few hours to get things fully set up, but I may give it a try unless there is another idea out there.
