Hi all. I am having a bit of a problem with my laptop lately. Whenever I try to start it up, a Blue Screen comes up and says "A problem has been detected and Windows has been shutdown to avoid damage to your computer. If this is the first time you have seen this message, restart your computer, etc." The only error it shows is Stop: 0x0000007e. I checked on Microsoft's website, and the possible causes listed are:
  • computer may not have sufficient disk space
  • computer bios may not be compatible with windows
  • incompatible video adapter drivers
  • damaged ram
  • damaged device driver or system service

I also did a google search and found a patch from softwarepatch.com that said it would stop this error, but after I downloaded and ran it, BSOD still didn't go away. I also ran memtest86+, but it found no errors with the ram. I know it I have sufficient disk space (7.9 gigs). I can boot the computer up in safe mode, but even after doing a system restore the problem still remains.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nefesis.
