When I turn my computer on it sticks at the spot that it
says "windows 98",, the little blue line at the bottom freezes
and it wont load any further. When I unplug it then plug it
back in it takes me to safe mode. I have tryed going back
to 3 days ago, didn't help. any suggestions? I am lost.

Have you ran an antivirus to make sure you're free of virii?

What was the last thing you can remember doing prior to this happening?

I'd like to mention that unplugging your computer while it is still turned on isn't very good for your computer. You should always completely turn it off before unplugging almost anything.

You could try using a boot disk at start up & when you get to C:/ prompt, type in sys C:, this is to transfer files over& hopefully fix the problem.

Or you could try &find which is actually failing by trying to press F8 when you turn the computer on. Then it will ask you questions, you must answer Yes or no, to answer correctly, go to the below link & go to where it talks about Using step by step confirmation. I hope this helps.

Well I have tryed everything under the sun to fix this problem.
every suggestion that was given to me tryed and failed.
Then my father decided to take the cover off the tower and
see if there was anything he could see. He noticed the motherboard was loose and not making a full connection.
he connected it,, rebooted and bingo! that was the problem.
so if anyone else has the same problem, try this.
thanks for everyones help.
