My computer has gone wacky in all respects. The main problem I have is that it shuts down automatically and restarts or freezes.
I used msconfig with my out-sourced tech support and they just said re-install Xp Pro. I really don’t want to do that unless it is really the last option.
Currently I am operating in selective mode. The following are CHECKED:
Nwiz
NV Cpl
Avg32
PP Mem Check (Pest Patrol)
PP Control (Pest Patrol)
Ctfmon

The following are UNCHECKED:
Ctfmon
Dumpprep 0-k
Stcloader
Zl client (Zone Alarm)

AVG says I no longer have any virus but it did heal Second Thought B. in two files. The above mentioned stcloader I have found located in Windows Prefetch but have not done anything with it as I am not sure how to deal with it, or if I should, without making matters worse.

I cannot get Pest Patrol or Panda Online Scan to complete a scan without the computer either freezing or restarting. Pest Patrol and AVG are up to date. Earlier when I could complete a scan with Pest Patrol I had two items called something like Scratch Off that Pest Patrol tried to delete but there was an error in the program and Pest Patrol hasn’t completed a scan since. I turn off Pest Patrol, AVG and Zone Alarm when trying the Panda Scan.

Two weird things I noticed. I tried a System Restore in the beginning of all this a day or so ago and I had NO restore points. The Restore was NOT turned off. I have used it before and there are usually several within the month and previous months but I was not even allowed to click to the previous month. Zone Alarm settings keep getting re-set somehow with the computer restarting itself. Mainly it is the Ad Blocker and Cookie controls that are reset to off. I uninstalled Zone Alarm and re-installed but to no avail.

I’ve included a Hijack log. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
