Hey guys ive been using Spyhunter to get all of my spyware and what not off my computer, and it has been doing a great job, and my computer even runs faster (or maybe that was the extra ram i dropped into it...1609 in total :) ) but i just cant get rid of this nagging sense that maybe it is not as it seems, anyone else use it? or can testify against it?

One thing, I see you have SpyHunter. If you haven't paid for it uninstall it. It is a waste of time and money. Adaware and Spybot are better for free.[/QUOTE]

Again Adaware and Spybot will do a better job and they are free.........

Consider installing the following:

SpywareBlaster v2.6.1 and SpywareGuard v2.2, to prevent Active-X drive-by installations, as well as provide real-time browser hijacking protection: http://www.wilderssecurity.net/index.html

IE-SPYAD, a registry file that adds a long list of known "sites" to the Restricted Sites of your Internet Explorer: http://www.staff.uiuc.edu/~ehowes/resource.htm

SpyHunter 1.4.42
By John Clyman

we're extra disappointed that Enigma Software Group co-opted the name to put out such a mediocre product. SpyHunter 1.4.42 provides no blocking capabilities, offers only brief descriptions of detected spyware, and includes virtually no help or documentation. Its scanning was extremely slow and, on heavily infected systems, sometimes seemed to freeze entirely. These limited capabilities and minimal configuration options make it hard for us to recommend SpyHunter
Sometimes a simple interface deftly masks complex functions, but in SpyHunter's case the interface is simple because the features are minimal.
Compared with many other products offering richer features at similar prices, SpyHunter offers little reason to choose it.
Or, use the free ones like Ad-Aware ... ;)

Yep.................its a pile of crap.................we see heavily compromised systems which have SpyHunter installed so obviously its a scam to relieve you of a little "hard earned"
