For the past few weeks, whenever I run Spybot it has been reporting the following two items:

-Windows Security Center Anti-Virus Disable Notify

-Windows Security Center Firewall Disable Notify

I have been routinely just removing them, but find that they return, I believe, whenever I reboot the system. After reading Cookiegal's recent sticky on this subject, I've been going into the Windows Security Center ( Control Panel ) > "Change the way Security Center alerts me" and checking to see if the alerts for anti-virus and firewall are enabled. In the morning after booting up the system I find these alerts disabled, so I reenable them and they seem to stay enabled until I boot up the next time, and again I find them disabled. Apparently, I have some malware of some kind changing things for me!

I'm currently running SpywareBlaster and frequently run Spybot and Adaware. (Incidently, should I download the Microsoft Beta?) I also am running the McAfee Virus Scan, Personal Firewall Plus and Privacy Service and the Windows Firewall.

I know how to obtain a Hijack This log. Would that be useful to TSG in helping me on this? Would appreciate advice on this. Thanks, Addnovice. :)
