Hello Gang! It is me again the neighborhood pest. lol!i am seeking advice or software programs to separate prerecorded movie files of over 700 mbs that won't fit on one cd but need to split one to where it will still play and put onto 2 cd's. i have two burners one for max of 650mbs and one for 700mbs, but currently i am trying to separate 738mbs into two parts and put the extra onto another cd. i have tried file splitters but that doesn't work for me either! is there any solutions? please advise and reply! Thanks a million! hrwill9

Hiya

you could take a look at this

http://www.tmpgenc.com/e_main.html

Its a beta version but free. What it can do is cut movies. You could cut,say 30 MB off the end of one movie and rename it A, and then B could be the 700MB removed from the begining. But as swwelsh quite rightly said, what format are they in?

Regards

eddie

You probably cant compress them much further, since they are in divx4, I think you will have to do what Eddie said, split them into two AVIs. If you want to play with re-encoding them, or compressing the audio, you could get VirtualDub, a freeware video editor. It will also allow you to select segments and make them into seperate files, like the program Eddie linked to. You can do a search for VirtualDub and find it available lots of places
