I don't know of a "speaker sharing" capability, why not just play the music/video on the desktop?

The desktop has no monitor and is accessed through PCAnywhere.

It is possible, but you'd need some high-end gear. Too high-end for me, so I don't look into it. Essentially, the speakers provide audio output for multiple devices by selecting a different wavelength or "channel" for each one, kind of like a multi-band two-way radio. In fact, some high-end surround sound/home theater systems use stuff like these.
