I recently had several "foreign" or unknown sender e-mails dumped into my e-bag. Typically I automatically delete this stuff without ever opening it because it could contain viruses or other nastiness. When I did enquire about one of them I was subsequently advised by my ISP that they were spam that could contain data miners or other intrusive software. My current ISP does not possess a resident Spam killer as the last software they tried had glitches and they have yet to develop either proprietary software of their own or find something that they like that works. My virus hunter takes pretty good care of any potential virus issues but I now believe that I need a Spam Killer. Can anyone recommend an on-line source for a good free or shareware spam hunter/killer software routine? Thanks.

When your log is cleaned up keep Spy Bot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware SE Update and scan weekly .

Have an on board antivirus program installed . If you dont have one Get AVG 7 at the above link

Download and install Spyware Blaster and Spyware Guard Update weekly .

That will do a lot to stop " spam "

Am already running AVG 7, Spyware Blaster and Ad-aware and do regular updates. Spyware Guard is unfamiliar to me as are "Housecall" and "Panda" AVG does an extremely good job of virus search and interdiction. Who offers Housecall and Panda? Copernicus sends
