I am getting a slew of E-mails from tons of random people. Most all of them are from websites that end in .biz. They are mostly all for Cialis, Viagra, and mortgage rates. I downloaded MailWasher and it didn't really do much for me. I have Outlook XP.

Is anyone a part of this terrible mailing list? What can I do to get these people off my case?!

You will have to keep black listing mails in mailwasher for 3-4 months and then it will start becoming effective. That is what I have heard from some guys here. I have myself been using it since last 15-20 days and haven't seen much improvement yet. But I am hopeful.

Correct.........should see an improvement as blacklist builds up, probably a few mths !

Also keep your ISP email safe and use a web base email account when you sign up at places where you need to give out an email address. Never post you email address either.

Best one I've seen that integrates with Outlook is SpamBayes.

There's almost no learning involved and you don't need to keep running another program before you want to send and receive e-mail. I certainly don't have all that time for a anti-spam program to become effective. I was typically getting around 1000/day. This pretty much stopped them all with only very rarely a false positive.

I'm downloading that SpamBayes.

I've used MailWasher for a few weeks now and have seen no change in the E-mails. I don't know if maybe these go undetected on its radar.

Hope you are adding spams to its blacklist. Otherwise it will never become effective.

SpamBayes has very effective blocking spam as soon as you install it. That's one of the reasons I like it.
