Hi -------Since activating the Spybot hosts file option I have seen an increase in received Spam of at least 50%. Is there a correlation or should I be looking elsewhere for a reason. I can't think of anyother changes made that could have such an effect.

There shouldn't be any correlation whatsoever as the hosts file is only used to compare against the visited sites and cookies..
