sp1a installation error message. Please help

I downloaded sp1a from Microsoft.com and right after it had extracted all the files, it displayed this error message: "Service Pack 1 cannot update a checked (debug) system with a free (retail) version of Service Pack 1, or vice versa." How can I fix this?

So far you have 4 threads started about the same subject(sp1a),with answers in 3 of them.
It's kind of hard to help you if we have to follow you around the board to find out what you have tried and what you haven't.Maybe you can contact an administrator and have all 4 of your threads combined.
