I don't know a lot about computers, so bear with me. I just reformated by computer. Everything went smooth, except I now have no sound. It is a Dell XPS, that worked fine before the formatting. It has (2) Harmon Kardon speakers that worked fine before.
The device manager shows a yellow X by the "PCI Parallel Controler" and a yellow X next to "Yamaha DS-XG PCI Audio CODEC".
Basically, I have no idea what the hell either of these things are. I guess I just need to know what drivers to get for it. I'm giving this computer to my kids Tuesday, who live out of town, so I need to get it done. Below is the Belarc adviser profile I ran BEFORE reformatting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
