hiya,
I got XP pro with spybot S&D, adaware and BHO daemon which i use regularly, but recently my sound keeps muting for no reason. I would be in the middle of a mp3 or game and the sound stops, when i go to volume control "mute all" is selected. I deselect it and sound is back up for a few mins then it mutes again.

Can anyone tell me whats going on and how to fix it?

Yes i know about Daemon Tools,too.

Scan ur system with an updated virus scanner. Check if u have enabled mute in any other application like in Windows Media Player.

I tryed all and any applications that could be responsible but it continues to mute for every couple of mins
