Hello,
Bare with me, I'm not very tech Savvy. I'll do my best to explained. First, Here's what I'm using, A Lenovo "ThinkCentre" Edge desk top provided by my employer, An Amazon Workspaces app. In case you don't know what that is...(you probably do know though) it enables an IT administrator to give end users access to cloud applications, services, resources or documents on different types of devices within a virtualized desktop, Interactive Intelligence Sip Soft Phone Provider, and I'm now using for the headset The HunterSpider V1 3.5 Jack Gaming Headset.. I found out the sound for my USB port in my modem doesn't work anymore. I tested it, work provided me with a new second USB headset (Plantronics Black Wire C725, better then the first USB headset) and this headset's sound doesn't work either. The lights still come on for Mute and the Connect Call buttons on both headsets, but no sound. So I'm pretty sure the sound part of that port doesn't work anymore. So I have that HunterSpider headset, Plugged it into the separate (3.5mm) jack on the front of the modem. I thought the jacks on the back of the Modem would work using the y splitter that came with the headset, but I got a loud static sound when I tried. So I won't be doing that again, lol! I just used the Jacks in the front. Anyways I work from home for a Call Center using Interactive Intelligence Desktop for receiving inbound calls and automatic dialing for out bound calls. When I first hooked up the HunterSpider Headset I had bad feedback and my customers were hearing echoing (it's repeating every word they say). I actually watched a YouTube video and discovered I needed to go into the Computer Desk Top and under Sound Settings... Play back Devices//Speaker/ Stereo Properties / enhancements. I disabled all sound effects on the Desktop. I tried to do the same on the Amazon Workspaces App, but it doesn't give an option for enhancements. Then in the Amazon Workspaces app under Sound Settings, I chose... Play Back Devisees/ recording/ Mic/Properties/Custom. I turned off the Mic Booster. That got rid of my feedback, but my Customers still hear that echo of every word they say. I tried having the customer adjust their volume, get off speaker phone, switching to a different phone, and I even tried to adjust my volume with them. I also tried (to rule out some things) getting 5 ft (headset cord length) further away from my Desk Top to no avail. That's what I need help with now. I get confused with the sound settings being in 2 different places, one for the app and one for the desk top. I may not have everything set up correctly (surprise lol) even after changing those Sound Setting, I'm guessing. I'd like to make sure that the settings for Both the Computer Desk Top and The Amazon Workspaces App are set up correctly and if any other option there might be if it's not within the Sound Setting. So I know if it's the headset, my Internet connection or anything else I'm not aware of. Thank you!
Sincerely,
DDemetro
