i have a coimpaq presario 5000t 5bw130 computer i have a onboard viseo and sound card on my computer i have insatlled a sound blaster audigy sound card in my computer and a asylum Ge Force4 MX 440 se video card ihave used both of these they worked fine in windows me but when ii upgraded to xp i started to have a problem with my sound card i hear a loud beep when i am playing a game or listening to something on the computer i hear a loud beep for about 15 seconds then the sound will come back then and a minute later i hear another loud beep and then i will either lose sound all to gether or then the sound will play again for about another minute then i hear another loud beep and the sound is gone when the beeps start the screen also freezs sometimes. know when i use the onboard video card i do not have the problem i have contacted creative abot this they said that i needed to diable the onboard sound card in the bios so i contacted compaq and they said that i can not do that the option is not avaiable in the bios only in device manger in windows so i di did that and i still have the same problem .i contacted creative again they said to update the motherboard bio and drivers so i did i have the same problem . i also contacted compaq used a forum like this someone suggested that i install the sound card first then the video card i did that same problem so maybe someone out there can help i hope because i do not know what to do .
