I have a Sony LCD monitor that turns on when u click the power button, then about 2 seconds later the screen goes black. I have tried on multiple computers and the problem just recently occured. Need help thank you!:up:

Is the cable replaceable? Look carefully at the cable for any bent pins also on both ends if you have been moving it.

does the power lite stay on, on the adapter?

Look closely at the display when it goes black. If you can still see a "ghost" image of the screen contents, the backlight or inverter has probably failed. Depending on how handy you are, they can be replaced fairly cheaply. Search for LCD Backlight Repair here and on Google, lots of sources for the parts and instructions.
