A few weeks ago I installed IE7, even though I use Firefox for 90% of my browsing. It would not connect, so I uninstalled. A few days later Firefox (which I've been using for over 6 months) stopped connecting ("server not found"), so I've been forced to use IE6 (which I hate - can't get shockwave to work). Also, around the same time, Movielink stopped being able to DL movies (the website works though). Then I realized Spysweeper hadn't updated for over a month (prior to the IE7 problem).
So, many apps, including Ad-Aware, Limewire, connect and dl files fine, but others don't.
I use Panda Internet Security, and checked that the firewall allows Firefox, and Spysweeper 2 way access, and even temporarily shut it off, so that's not it. I also went to Mozilla and looked at tech help for Firefox, but none of their tips helped.
So I'm at a complete loss. What do these apps have in common? Panda, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Did a recent XP update do this? A virus?
Please help - I want Firefox back!
Thanks, Robb
