Probably this should be in hardware but I am putting it in here...My computer is 8 months old and on occasions the hour part of system clock stops advancing but minutes stay con the correct time? Is it my CMOS battery? I would doubt it since the minutes stay accurate. He anyone heard of such a thing as this? If so, how do I fix it please?

TIA

Howdy,

Double click on the clock on the taskbar then in the new window

click the Internet Time

make-sure that Automatically synchronize with Internet is checked

In the Server if time.windows.com is selected change it to time.nist.gov and visa versa

click Update now and click OK

See how that effects the time.

Go back and make sure you have the correct time zone applied. Not saying that is your particular reason, but I've had customers with the problem you are describing and their time zone had inadvertently been changed.

are you serious? Cause this has happened a few times. If you are serious, do you know what causes it?
