Hiya

Not sure how to explain in a title, but this is what I mean :)

In Windows 2000, and I think Me, when you click on Start | Programs, it only shows you the programs that you use on a regular basis.

For example, at work I only use a few programs, and Notepad. When I use the start | Programs bit, these are the only ones that show up (2000).

I have XP at home, and its a pain in the you know where, when I have to scroll thru all those things, etc. Is there a way for this to be made possible on XP?

Thanks in advance

Right Click your Start Button and Click Properties

Click the Start Menu Tab

Click Start Menu radio button

Click Customize

Click the Advanced tab

In Start Menu items window, scroll down to Scroll Programs

Put a check mark against it,

Click OK, Apply then OK

Can't really do a screenshot,a s I only have the one PC.

However, on this page (too large to upload), is what I'm trying to explain.

If you look at Figure 1-4, it shows the Programs list. Now, in other versions of Windows, if you're say, only using the first 3 in that list, these will only be shown, and the others will be hidden.

Its not the full picture, but its like finding a needle in the haystack :p

I can try and get a screenshot on Monday at work, though

Thanks
