I don't get it - I've been viewing and burning with my DVD drive for 5 months now with no problems, and today it's playing choppy audio and sluggish picture, like it's just dragging. What the heck?

I'm using XP, an internal Sony DVD-RW drive, and my hijack log is (in case it helps):

Use task manager to look at Performance.

It sounds like your CPU may be running 100% with an application, leaving insufficient resource for the audio and video to be continuous?
