Hello All,

Thank you all in advance for your time.

So here's my problem:

I have a new Laptop....Toshiba Satellite P100-06X: T2050/120GB

Here's the link. http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en&section=1&group=1&product=5590&part=5752#spectop

I've recently installed Windows XP Pro.

And now certain devices contain driver errors.

I've posted this image for you all to see. Device Manager .bmp

I have downloaded all the drivers for that Toshiba Labtop.

It's just a matter of finding which drivers for which device.

Here is the link to the list of drivers;

http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/files_downloads/index/Satellite/pspa0cen.htm

All I need is some direction to where these drivers are located on this list.

Thanks again for your time.

I really don't quite understand your problem. If it is that you cannot find the drivers, go to this link:
http://209.167.114.38/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp and click on Notebooks> Satellite> P100 (PSPA0C-XXXXX). Your driver download page will appear.

You'll need sound/audio, video/display, network/NIC/LAN, maybe wireless network/LAN/NIC, modem all for sure. Other drivers may be optional, depending on your preference. For instance, I personally would probably not load the touchpad driver if the built-in Windows driver works.

Well that's just it...

I don't even know where to look for the Mass Storage Controller....which driver is it?

What the name of the brand?

I don't even now what these devices are! Where do I look?

Download and load each display driver until one makes it look right. Download and load each sound driver until you hit on one that makes your sound work. In the absence of information as to brand and type of hardware, that is what I do.

You can do a search on the internet for a program called Everest that may identify your hardware a little better for you. There is another called Belarc Advisor. Both are free programs.

Where do I even look for some of these drivers?

There are so many folders to choose from....will take a while.

What if I post the results from the software you mentioned to me?

I do not understand what it is you don't understand. Also, since you are bumping this thing and haven't given a progress report, I can assume only you haven't tried anything.

I've relied on the on-site service business as a full-time profession since 1995. I average about six- twelve on-site service calls a week. I load drivers for something several times a week.

Is there some reason you're afraid to try? If so, what are your fears? Maybe I can help allay them.
