Apparently you had a virus that you attempted to remove. Are you positive that you removed everything?

That is the executible for Microsoft ActiveSync. Reinstall it. If that does not fix the problem, repair Outlook.

Reinstalled file, error message didnt appear on reboot. Outlook appears still to be slow on sending. this may be a coincidence but it seemed to start after i updated a windows pack.

a suggestion was to reload Outlook. do i need to save the emails i still want to keep prior to reloading? Will a reload delete contacts etc?

OK, so your problem isn't limited to just slow sending. Sometimes it doesn't send at all. Any errors? Does your email service permit messages above 200 KB? And have you tried the repair?

But of that does not work, if you receive no errors, and if your internet service, email service, firewall & other security software/hardware are all working & are configured properly, I would believe the virus is not removed.
