"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix this problem:

1. Insert your Windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2.Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
3. Click "Repair your Computer".

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

This is the screen I got when I turned on my pc the day before yesterday. I tried the system restore but it didn't work. Being that I don't have a vista cd, I thought that I was stuck but remembered seeing that i could use a windows xp installation disk. I got a windows xp professional installation disc, but the only prob is that I'm stuck from there. How can I go about using this cd to fix my boot system?

Hey njbolton321, thanks for the link! I wasn't able to get the download from there but I did a search and found some other websites that had it for direct download. I now got it on a cd, and my pc is now running.

Thanks! :D
