Solved: Virus IETLBASS.DLL

I am stuck with the Trojan Horse virus IETLBASS.DLL. Norton and Ad Aware can't fix it. It keeps coming back. Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance.

Where is norton saying the virus is located at.

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites

http://security.symantec.com/default.asp?
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
http://www.anti-trojan.net/en/onlinecheck.aspx

Be sure and put a check in the box by "Auto Clean" before you do the
scan. If it finds anything that it cannot clean have it delete it or
make a note of the exact file name and file location so you can delete it yourself.

Found the following viruses. Ietlbass.dll keeps being infected. It is always in that location. I don't know about the 2nd one. It came with the Hijackthis backups.

C:\WINDOWS\ietlbass.dll is infected with Trojan Horse
C:\Documents and Settings\Christophe Le Yoanc\Desktop\backups\backup-20050112-031145-176.dll is infected with Trojan Horse

The alert message from Norton is still there after restart. I did a scan with Norton, which found that the file IETLBASS.DLL was still infected with a Trojan Horse virus. From experience, if I quarantine it with Norton and try to delete it, it will still come back after restart. However, if I leave it under quarantine only, without deleting it, the alert logically disappears and everything works fine. if I delete with Norton it will come back. I have submitted my infected file to Norton. Here is their reply:

C:\WINDOWS\ietlbass.dll is non-repairable threat. Please delete this file and replace it if necessary. Please follow the instruction at the end of this email message to install the latest rapidrelease definitions.

The current monthly definitions are capable of detecting and repairing

Open a DOS command prompt window (Start->Programs->Accessories) and enter [Or copy/paste] the Bold command:

Fix with HijackThis:

"Start" > "Run" and "copy" and paste the following Bold line in the Run box:

You can "Fix" them with HijackThis,when needed,all you need to do is double-click the relevent icon.If you later realise you need any of them to auto load,find the "Backups" button in HijackThis and restore the entry.
