I was just wondering if I used say...about 70% of my hard drive space would my computer slow down. If so, would it slow my computer down by a great amount?

Of course, the amount of space that I use isn't the whole story. Depending on how I have set my configuration parameters, Recycle, System Restore, and page file all use hefty slices as well. I found that as I passed 70% my system began to slow, and by the time I got to 80% it became very slow. My new exterior hard drive has allowed me to keep my local interior drive down to about 20-25% usage. Quick. Quick. Quick.

It won't have a measurable effect. The only issue is that Windows defrag needs about 15% available to defrag the drive. Severe fragmentation WILL slow down the system.
