There are descriptions of two Video Cards below. The first is
an ATI card....which i have in my 4 year old( Pen4/200gb/1gb Ram)
computer now in an AGP 2.0 slot. This card was manufactured in 2003

The second card is a PNY GeForce FX 5200 256MB AGP Graphics Card
which i am bought on clearance($32),but not sure if would be that much
of an upgrade. This card was manufactured in 2007

SHOULD I UPGRADE TO THE PNY FX5200?? I am happy with what i got
now with a video card,im not a big gamer. But maybe the newer card
would be a heck of alot better than i realize ????

thanks , thats what i thought the more i tried to compare

The FX supports up to 2.0 pixel shader technology, however the FX series are poor with shader operations. It's a decent deal at $32, but I'd be looking for something along an Ati X1600.

Thanks Satsumomo ,Jackiefrost9 You saved me a mistake.

What occurred is i walked by a clearence table at Staples,saw the FX5200 card on clearance for $32 and just assumed that would be a better card than my present 5 year old card and bought it. The more i compared the both the more they looked similar in preformance. Back to Staples the card goes today.
