My system restore is not working! I have uninstalled Ad-Aware, turned off Norton and checked that system restore is turned on, but to no avail:down: Please help.

When you say it is not working what exactly do you mean....can you open System Restore and do you see dates in Dark Blue.....and if so when you try to Restore what happens?

It goes through all the motions and reboots then says "System did not restore, no changes have been made to your pc at this point"

Followed some advice can't exactly remember how I did it, but it is back on now!

And, Norton? How did you "turn it off"?

It is most likely, still active somewhere.

Go to the Norton Protection Console, Options, Norton Antivirus, Other (Miscellaneous) and UNselect the option to Protect Symantec Product.

Reboot and try Restore again.

Unselect the option "Turn Protection on for my Symantec Product" and System Restore will be fine.

This is what I did and guess what.......IT WORKED!!! System restored!
