Solved: SuperAntiSpyware Update - legit?

I update my free SuperAnti Spyware frequently and keep getting this popup in the lower right hand corner:

"A Product Update is Available! A newer version of SUPERAntiSpyware is available for dowlnoad. Click update now to continue."

I've ignored it, thinking it wouldn't return after my regular update and scan. Then I thought it was an upgrade so I checked it out. Now I'm not sure. It doesn't sound any better than I have.

I always depended on my son for advice but he died last year and TechGuys has been a huge help with all the unfamiliar things I had to deal with. This is another one of those pesky things that I'm makes me cringe. Is it for real? Or would I be adding something I don't need or want?

Load its main window.

Is "Program Version" 5.6.1040 or is it an older version?

After you update the definition files, the pop-up window in the lower right will appear if a new version is available.

It'll continue to appear every time you update the definition files if you don't allow it to update to its new version.

It's 5.6.1032. I updated it again and it's still the same. Does that mean I need to update it from the popup? I can't remember what it says that it will do.

Can I wait until next time and copy it and send it to you? I'd do a screen shot but am not very good at it. I just don't want to add anything that I don't want.

You have an outdated version, so it's wanting to update to the current version.

You need to click the pop-up when it appears so it can self-update.
