Are there any advantages to having SP2 on an XP system that is not, nor going to be, on the internet?

If you are never hooked up to the internet, you don't need it nor much of anything else. No internet activity eliminates 90 percent of the purpose of a computer.

Thats too bad. All that software my Mother bought and I have to tell her it is useless.
