Solved: Sonic/Roxio problem - lost photos - Desperate

Hi,
While formatting a disk in D:\ I started moving files of digital fotos to download, after the formatting the foto files disappeared:eek: . Where did they go??? How do I restore them?

Forgot Win XP on Dell Inspiron 8600 . I will just die if I can't find these fotos!

I was formatting a CD-RW and moving files, where the files have to be written to the D:\ after you choose write to disc. I was moving them from C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\My Pictures to an area that says files waiting to be downloaded. My computer has Sonic on it which is why it has the files waiting to be downloaded. What do I do now?

Under Tools > Folder Options > View, make sure you have selected to show hidden files.

Then Start > Search and do an all files and folders search for one of the images. If they came from your digital camera it is pretty easy to deduce a valid number from a current image file number. If search can’t find them they probably aren’t there.

You might also take a look in the recycle bin, although it seems unlikely they would end up there.
