I have a set of configuration builder CD's (Disk 1 and Disk 2) for Windows 2000 Professional that I had with a Toshiba Laptop computer. The laptop computer was stolen but I still have the disks. Is there any way I can use them to install that operating system on a desktop computer?

Not legally. System builder discs are married to the machine on which they were originally installed and cannot be installed on another system.

Then I guess the disks I have are good for nothing but coasters.
