Hello,
I have PhotoSuite 7 installed but before I formatted the hard drive, I was able to double click any photo and it would open up this program. I could then edit, crop and do what I wanted with the photo(s). Since formatting, each time I click on my photos it opens the Windows Picture & Fax Viewer. I have reinstalled my PhotoSuite but it still won't open up my photos like before. Any ideas, please?

right click on any photo and select "open with" then select the program of your choice... be sure to put a check in the box that says "always use this..... " then OK

Hi Buck52
Thing is, my PhotoSuite isn't among the list of programs to choose from. How can I add the PhotoSuite, please? The only other thought was to delete the Viewer & Fax but this seems a little drastic.

If you select “Choose Program” you will find a much more comprehensive selection of programs that usually includes just about everything on the computer. You will also find the check box to always use that program.

I did do this but there isn't my Photosuite program among the list. I looked at this before posting my question. Is there anyway I can add this, please?

A suite has components. Look for "Media Manager" or a Roxio component that is part of the suite that you want the images to open in.

There is a little utility that lets you assign anything on your computer to the open with menu. You could probably have the main menu for the suite there is that is what you had before: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/openwithadd.htm

I often don't want an image editor to open when I click on an image. I have them all open in Irfanview, which is an excellent free viewer. If there is something I want to edit, Shift + E opens the image in my image editor. And you can navigate to anything you want to set the Irfanview external editor to rather than be limited to the "open with" list.
