Know it is new, so found very little on Microsoft's new anti-spyware. Still, I am the most computer-literate person in our family and I am being asked about this. So, wanted to see if any experienced members could make some recommendations:
1. Is MS anti-spyware better/worse than Spybot SD?
2. Compared to the newer anti-spyware and firewall programs in Symantec or McAfee suites?
3. In fact, are there pages with techguy recommendations or comparisons on anti-spyware and virus protection programs?

Thanks,
Fanis

It's the Giant Anti Spyware program re-packaged by MS and, as far as I am aware, still Beta. This means that it might foul up, depending on what changes MS made to the Giant version.

When enough people have 'tested' it, a final version will be issued and you will have to pay a subscription to keep using it. Whether or not you try it depends on how much you believe in MS's ability to produce good software that isn't buggy or insecure.

You could always stick with the 'free' programs and make a one off donation for them.
