I was successfully using Olympus Master (camera/photo editing software) until I had to have a new hard drive installed. I re-installed the software but now get error messages when trying to use some of the editing features.

I contacted Olympus who have advised that by re-installing the software, I have all the necessary components and suggested it is a problem with my computer. I know the software disk is OK as I have installed it onto a friend's computer and it works perfectly.

I may have copied the program across from the old drive to the new one originally but I have subsequently un-installed and re-installed from the software disk and wonder if copying across has caused a problem somewhere.

The error message I receive is:

OlyPlgMgr.dll
Plug-in could not be executed
{264AF77B-87D7-4BC5-AB47-B59F357AC37D}

I also get the following message if I try to open the program with autoplay:

OLYMPUSMaster.exe - Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because olkeywdm.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

When I perform a search my system locates OlyPlgMgr.dll in a couple of different locations within Olympus Master and also finds olkeywdm.dll.

Also, the following window appears from time to time, seemingly regardless of what program/software I am using, and I have no idea why.

Error
Could not find the file 'flash.ocx'

I am running Windows XP Home Edition.

I am completely stuck and have no idea how to resolve these issue and should be extremely grateful for any assistance.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi trood.
Flash.ock is probably used by Olympus,You have most likely messed up the Olympus master files and when you uninstal the program it did not remove the corrupt file.
Try This but do exactly as I say and you will not get problems.
Ok Uninstal Olympus master with add and remove from control panel.
Then go start / search /type Olympus Master/all files and folders/more advanced options and check all the boxes /and click search/When it as finished searching right click and remove all it as found, you can use (Edit &select all then File & delete) but some files may not go with this method.
Ok This next procedure is the one to be careful with First back up your registry. If you dont know how dont worry,First Start /RUN /type REGEDIT/click OK /on My computer click EDIT/
Then Click FIND / were it says find what type Olympus Master/Click find next.
Now windows will search you registry for all files with Olympus Master in the name.
when it stops it will highlight in blue the file it as found run your mouse curser over the highlighted file it may show you more It it as got Olympus Master in the name right click on it and delete./ Then press F3 and it will start to search again,Continue doing this until it says it as finished searching.they could be 30+ files to remove .You then will the Have removed all file that as to do with Olympus Master
reboot and reinstall your program.
PLEASE NOTE IF ANY PROGRAM THAT IS HIGHLITED DOSE NOT HAVE OLYMPUS MASTER IN IT DO NOT DELETE IT Just press F3 and carry on.
Good Luck

Hi Rex

It's taken a while to find the time to sit down at the computer and get to work on fixing this problem but finally I have.

Whilst looking for something else, I found my flash.ocx file in the recycle bin. Once restored, all was well!

With regards my Olympus problem, I carried out your instructions and I am pleased to report all features are now working.

Thank you for your help, it was much appreciated.
