Merry Christmas everyone! :D I got a Pentax Optio A10 for Christmas. I used the movie mode to take a video and it recorded in an .avi file type. I played it using Windows Media Player and it olny plays the recorded sound and not the movie. I copied it to a cd and played it again with same result. Is there a way to change the .avi to a .mpeg? Could I hook up to a DVD recorder and record to a DVD to watch the movie. I know that I can watch it on the TV via the Audio suppied cable but I wanted to copy it for a friend whose Christmas party it was. Thanks for all your help in advance:)

i looked that camera up. an it says this.
PENTAX Optio A10 also features DivX®, a fully Certified Encoder device that captures full-screen VGA (640 x 480, 30 fps) video. Equipped with DivX, the Optio A10 allows users to capture, create, play and share high-quality video content across a range of other DivX equipped devices and platforms such as DVD players, recorders and portable media players.
your camera should have come with a divx program. if not you can get one here.
http://www.divx.com/divx/windows/. try using the dvix player an see if it plays correctly.
