Merry Christmas everyone! I got a Pentax Optio A10 for Christmas. I used the movie mode to take a video and it recorded in an .avi file type. I played it using Windows Media Player and it olny plays the recorded sound and not the movie. I copied it to a cd and played it again with same result. Is there a way to change the .avi to a .mpeg? Could I hook up to a DVD recorder and record to a DVD to watch the movie. I know that I can watch it on the TV via the Audio suppied cable but I wanted to copy it for a friend whose Christmas party it was. Thanks for all your help in advance

Just install the latest XVID codec and hopefully it'll end this problem for you...that should allow .avi playback on Media Player.

i looked that camera up. an it says this.

your camera should have come with a divx program. if not you can get one here.
