What did you scan WITH, as well. You can scan with the best stuff out there, doesn't mean that there's no bugs or viruses. Need more specifics.

its a emachine had its a bout 4 yrs old 256 ram 2.0 processer 80 g hd xp

That's why it is running so slow, it's only got 256 megs of ram, and most likely an outdated, worn out processor.

I suggest a new computer.

Well, I don't know. Depends on what you would use it for. I recommend a Dell or HP.

1GB of RAM, Intel Pentium 4 or Core 2 Duo 2-3GHz, descent video card, and so on.
