WIN XP SP2

On one of the Notebook PC's I manage I'm seeing a prompt that I've never seen before.

When I click START / TURN OFF COMPUTER - the standard dialog with STANDBY / TURN OFF / RESTART comes up, but at the bottom of that dialog it reads "turn off computer WITHOUT installing updates.

So evidently, there are updates downloaded - wanting to be installed. I am unable to figure out how to see a list of these updates so I can pick and choose which ones to let install. Anyone know the secret?

TIA,

TC3

Oh - just in case you are going to ask...

No - there is no Yellow Sheild in the Taskbar to click on. The only CURRENT indication that there are updates wanting to be installed is the prompt on the bottom of the Shut Down Dialog.

Lastly - the reason I need to be able to see WHICH updates are queued up is that there is a known incompatibility between IE7 and a business-critical app we use, GoldMine. I don't want to let IE7 install itself AT THIS TIME until a patch is released that will fix the issues between GoldMine and IE7.

Thanks !!

This is an old question, but for future readers, all you have to do is turn off automatic updates (don't forget to click OK), then turn them on again by choosing "Notify me but don't automatically download or install them".
