I have been an MP3 kind of guy and have used MusicMatch for years.

Yesterday, I downloaded a song from iTunes without thinking much about it.

Now... seeing this song is in M4P, am I correct that I can only play that within iTunes? I see an option for converting it to AAC, but don't know what that would do for me.

My real question is... how might I get this song burned to CD using MusicMatch or otherwise? What are my options?

Thanks for some input.

You should be able to burn and finalize an audio CD from within iTunes. That CD will then work with any CD player or CD playing software.

OK... great. Now, a follow-on question.

How would I manage burning a mix of tunes to a CD when some reside in iTunes and others as MP3's? In other words, I would need to get them to the same playlist before burning. Are you saying that I can pull in other formats into iTunes and achieve my mix that way?

Thanks again.

iTunes will handle MP3's. In fact, it will handle most, but not all formats. All you need to do is create a new playlist and add the songs you want to burn.

Are you trying to make an MP3 disc or an audio disc? If you're just making an audio disc, then all the files being burned to the disc will be converted to a WAV file. Thus, you can rerip the disc to any format you want.

I use iTunes and all my songs are in MP3, even the ones I purchased from the iTunes store. If only iTunes could manage FLAC.
