I'll try to make this so short as possible; and make it as informative as possible.

1. Used the program Partition Magic, had to re-start to computer to start the process.
2. The process started, and i would have taken 12-hours or so, but i cancelled.
3. That was not a good idea, the HDDk is now kinda ****ed.
4. I'm guessing that I had lost all my data, and therefore i planned to install a new copy of Windows, which turned out to be kinda hard. A message saying: Reboot and select proper boot device or put media in the boot device and press a.

5. Did something in Raid mode, Low Level Format... no idea what it did, but it didn't work. So, yes, im not a pro in this field ... -.-

I have tried everything, please, any help!

EDIT: Was scanning the internet, trying to solve the problem by my self, and i read that it's important to have a windows copy, that is not a sp2 version, is this correct, maybe that's why i can't boot to windows...

I can't even start the operation, the computer can't find the boot-disc. I'm trying to install a norwegian version of Windows Professional, sp2. A message comes up, when the boot to disc message is supposed to show up, Reboot and select proper boot device or put media in the boot device and press a.

What kind of hard drive is it?. if you have a second computer you can try this, this is what i usually do. the the hdd out of the computer with the problem and take it to your second computer and add in it as a slave. once its up use PowerQuest PartitionMagic to wipe the whole disk clean, the reason i say use that program is because its really user friendly, and its hard to f**k up in it lol. once you have wiped it clean turn that computer off and take the hdd out and put it back in your other computer and pop in your windows cd and it show let you do a clean install. if you dont have a second computer you can try to run FDisk on it via dos.

I think it's a sata disc. Yeah, i have a extra computer, that one i'm sitting on now.

Well, when i tried that, the computer couldn't find the hard drive, it did'nt show up in windows... Or, is this program that you're talking about, so good, that it can find HDD that windows can't find?!

(Btw, thanks for the help im getting now, i appreciate it!)

I guessing that i now have to make a boot disc, but how? I don't got a floppy disc, so i'll have to make the boot disc on a cd-rom. I downloaded a file, but can't figure out how to put that on a cd, because the program opens up, and asks for 6 different floppy discs.

Well, i found out one thing though, I can use the program, Nero...

Anyone know where do download a boot disc file, that I can use?

i forgot to tell you in most cases when adding a second hard drive you have to change the jumper on the hard drive to cable select or slave, and you have to go into bios and tell it you added a second hdd, after doing that and rebooting it windows should see the hard.

Hmm, I'll give it a try, but last time (when my hard drive was functioning) everything worked just fine, without all that about making my hard drive a slave, and so on.

:) Hope it works, can't wait to fix the computer, hate this old slow comp...

My guesses is that it's working, and I am currently using PowerQuest Partition Magic, but can't do anything, because im just using a demo. So I need a program that I can format the hard drive with, without paying any money....

Yeah, i know, sata drive is just to plug in and that's it...
